Natalie Jane Davenport Teeger is Adrian Monk's new assistant. She is the daughter of Bobby and Peggy Davenport, who own the "third largest toothpaste manufacturer in the world", Davenport Toothpaste. While in high school she played four years of varsity basketball, also she was an exchange who traveled to Greece. While Natalie was there, she frequently visited a nude beach. Natalie married Mitch, who was a Navy fighter pilot,  he was killed in Kosovo in 1998. Natalie also has a brother named Jonathan and a daughter named, Julie. Before she worked for Adrian, Nat had many jobs including working in a bar (Red Herring), working in a casino (Vegas), and also working in a mall (Secert Santa). She has spent time in a jail in Vermont for throwing a man through a window in order to protect a friend. Plus, Natalie has a tattoo.

After two men broken into her house, one of whom she killed in self-defense with a pair of scissors left out by Julie. Natalie first met Monk when Leland Stottlemyer asked that she should try him. Adrian just getting over Sharona leaving, was doing interviews to find a new nurse/assistant. She walked into his apartment after getting no answer when the door was open and help him put out a fire in a trash can caused by one of the nurse's cigarette who was applying for the job. After some discussion Monk finally accepted the offer to look into it for her. Then after sloving the case Monk asked Natalie if she would become his new assistant. Initially she refused, but she didn't like her current job, so she ended up accepting his offer.

While on the show Natalie has drove a few different cars since being on the show. The first car she drove on the show was a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee, then she drove a Buick Lucerne (most likely due to Buick's sponsorship of the show), then a Ford Escape, (also due to sponsorship to the show) and now a Audi. (also due to sponsorship to the show)
